Feed mill

The feed mill in Uffculme was established in 1974 and is now run as a dedicated facility to produce all the feed requirements for 2 Sisters Willand.

The mill has expanded considerably in recent years, and today produces an average of 3200 tons of feed per week, all of which is supplied to the farms that grow chicken for 2 Sisters Willand.

Having access to a dedicated facility gives the company total control over the quality, composition and traceability of its feed, which is one of the most essential elements in producing a healthy, tasty chicken.

Recently an organic feed mill was developed as part of the milling operation, complete with dedicated intake for organic materials. This is now generating 500 tons of organic feed each week, all of which is going to feed the company's Devonshire Red organic chicken.

The feed mill buys as much of its raw feed material locally as possible, with the remainder traded for on the world commodities market.
